6 Quick And Easy Recipes To Whiten And Lighten The Color Of The Hands

The skin of your hands is different from the skin of the rest of the body, so you need special care, especially because of exposure to sunlight, soap, and chemicals that you can be exposed to when washing dishes or clothes.

In this article, we will show some easy-to-prepare natural recipes that help whiten hands and lighten their color.

1- Lemon juice and honey

Honey is great for skin lightening, and lemon is rich in vitamin C and helps get rid of dead skin cells. Take a tablespoon of honey, a tablespoon of lemon juice, and a teaspoon of powdered milk, mix them well and apply on your hands, leave the mixture for 15 minutes and then wash it off.

2- Potatoes

Potatoes are rich in skin-whitening properties (due to the presence of an enzyme called catecholase) which are effective in reducing pigmentation and dark spots on the skin. Cut the potatoes into slices and rub them on the dark areas of your hands, then remove them and rinse your hands after a while, you will notice immediate results.

You can also mix equal amounts of lemon and potato juice and grease your hands with the mixture and leave it for as long as possible or when you sleep, and it’s okay to repeat daily and keep the rest of the mixture in the refrigerator, and within less than a week the results will begin to appear. This recipe can be used on all parts of the skin and shows impressive results.

3- Rosewater

Rose water helps cleanse your skin deeply. Mix two teaspoons of glycerin and two teaspoons of rose water, then dip a cotton swab in the mixture and rub it on your hands.

You can also mix a tablespoon and a half of honey, 10 tablespoons of rose water, 4 tablespoons of glycerin, and half a tablespoon of vinegar to make a homogeneous mixture, then put it on your hands and wear bags for half an hour, then remove it and rinse your hands with lukewarm water.

4- Chickpea Flour

Chickpea flour is rich in many nutrients, it helps to soften the texture of the skin and also helps to remove tan. Mix a teaspoon of chickpea flour with a pinch of turmeric and a few drops of rose water to make a soft paste. Apply it to your hands and rub it slowly before they dry. [2]

5- Aloe Vera Gel and Almond Oil

Tomatoes have bleaching properties and thus help in lightening the skin. They also help balance the pH level of the skin and make the skin look more radiant.
